Hello Admins, Its not been a long-time i registered on DP, but eventually since last few days I am getting more and more addicted to this forums.. Learning, reading, learning, reading..... is the entire day I spend here trying to assist people with the little knowledge i have Is it possible to add a eye-soothing skin to dp ? (non-white good for eyes) This will be better for end-users who stick hours on DP I hope topic worth consideration ? Regards,
nope, not a black skin but something which should not trouble your eyes (specially removing the light background) The green skin (my current skin) is really cool, but it is bit brighter (specially the white background and the light green color) which unknowingly, creates problems for your eyes in long run...
I agree, the current green skin is about as "soothing" as it gets. Maybe you should turn the brightness down on your monitor or wear sunglasses.
hi digitalpoint, I find dark blue shades quite soothing to eyes (read online..) end-users find this color much more easier to read comparatively. probably, try changing the green background with more lighter/darker shade of green or make some alterations to existing blue skin and mark it darker.
Light text, white, yellow and the like, does not print well if you want to print information off a site. Shannon
guys let shawn come with a better solution , nintendo is BEST with coding but designing................ ehm
Unfortunately, I'm in front of a computer at least 80 hours a week, sometimes much more than that. I manager a number of websites and I also run a recording studio which uses a PC for nearly everything. I crank down the the brightness until I think the screen looks like crap. WhenI leave for 2 minutes and come back, I don't notice the difference. I recently bought an LCD monitor and did make a major difference on my eyes. I only use the LCD in my recording studio, but it makes a big enough difference that my eyes don't dry out anymore unless I go on a monstrous computer binge. Brandon
I read a study once that stated that white text on a blue background is the easiest on your eyes. Not that I'd like that for this forum....
