    The thread is:

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=776722

If we go to this thread, we will see coolpavan is the OP.

I PMed him, and then this is what he replied:

Then I asked him, is 9sm.info his site?

And then this is what he replied:

But I have 2 reasons that this is his site:

    1st Reason:

But if we go to who.is and search 9sm.info, we will get:

    http://who.is/whois-info/ip-address/9sm.info/

We can clearly see that the email of registrant is pavan xxxx @ xxxx . xxx
And even the OP name is coolpavan....

    2nd Reason:

If we go to http://9sm.info/index.php and under partners link, we will find http://www.clubpenguin-cheats.info/ and even Op has this link in his signatures!!

Well, this OP has done this:
    1. Made 9sm.info
    2. Then using DP to get visitors, but The WRONG step that he has taken is:
Asking for Pming him and then asking for the reps in the PM!!
If he really want to provide us service then, he can just post the link in his thread.

I am not against him, but just feel bad, when he lied, that this is not his site and and than asking for reps in the PM.

Hope mods will take right action.

    Thanks

People use that trick all the time in the Freebies forum, but he's wrong to be asking for rep. In essence what's he's doing is luring people in with a catchy deal and then using the opportunity to spam them with his URL too.
Who's the 'reputed member' you mentioned in your thread title?

Promoting your own sites is ok as long as you're not spamming. Asking for rep in the thread is not allowed, though. If a member asks for rep in a PM, there's not much mods can do. It's up to you whether you want to add to his/her rep or not.
