If you know me from anywhere but here, I sign my posts Q and thats generally the name I get called. *shrug* I guess I'm lazy here as with my nearly 2k posts I think I've ended only 4 or 5 with such a sign.

I don't sign most of my greens though... maybe 25% of them? Another 25% I will put in random initials, lol. I've also left messages like "Tell Cylon Hello" or the like with no initials. I've seen my work quoted in those other rep threads ;) :p

Leaving names in red reps is a great idea!

Now I'll just go red rep someone and put 'You suck ~Q'... (nothing against Q, of course :D)

    Obviously a flawed system.

That was brought up in another thread, and is seems that it does happen. Though, heh...I just hope people are not redding with my ~Q. I'd hate to get reciprocated for something I did not do (which by the way is why I generally ignore names on red reps).

Don't worry, I won't. I just used it as an example to show how flawed it was. Reciprocation generally breaks the system, because then its no use citing your opinion because people who have higher rep than you will just kick your A**.

I never suck up to anyone...yeah, I took my fair share of reds, but sucking up is not the way to go. I've butted heads here on several occastions, and as long as it's not in Religion & Politics the reds are generally few and far between. Though, the real trick is to be as helpful as possible between not sucking up so that you'll have enough green to comp any reds that do come along ;)

Be friendly and courteous. Be helpful and informative.

    The greens will surely follow!

But again, don't suck up to anyone (no one here is worth it ;) )

    Agreed.

No one online is worth it. Maybe except Bill Gates, but I got a good reason for him.

People hardly ever rep nowadays. When I started posting on DP it was nearly a daily thing, now months go by before anything happens.

I agree with you 100% sometimes I log in and I see my rep went up several points while I was sleeping, not only can I not view them, usually I don't know who left them.

This has been discussed many times. Rehashing is not going to change things.
