Suggestion Reputation points

I'd suggest to make visible who sends reputation points.
There are some "smart" and "courage" users here that gives reputation, but "forget" to mention their username. So, to help them out with their mental problem, please make visible the username of who sends reputation points.

    Thank you for understanding.

Would be more inclined just to remove reputation than build extra functionality for it.

I think the function I am asking already exists. I have seen it in many vb4 forums.

I'd rather turn the reputation system into a "Like" system anyway.

It will be nice to turn the reputation system into a "Like" system.

For a small forum, a like system is a lovely warm fuzzy. For one of size, where it isnt humanly possible for the mods to see all posts, the rep system with both green and red allows users to influence the outcome a bit on their own. Someone starts speedposting or creating idiot threads... "What is google and how can it be helpful in Seo?"... They start catching red and it'll at least keep them out of areas like B/s/t if not stop them.

Also a good way to discourage guys that start threads to complain about moderation and red reps. Eh dlatua?

Personally i dont have a problem with names being auto attached to reps... Have forwarded the idea before. Have been in forums that do that and it tends to discourage a lot of rep abuse. ~ .02

If you want to discuss about this, there is already a thread. And if you have a higher number of neurons, will agree about what I was talking. There is no point to delete a thread that is in the wrong section (and make the user to open it again) instead of moving it at the write place. That's the moderators job.
On topic now, I don't care about reputation points, in fact I'd be happier if it is disabled for my account. This feature is almost unused here (except those who beg to get positive reputation and those who "forget" to add their username). A like/dislike feature is easier to use, also it can be connected to the reputation points.

The problem isn't neurons... it's morons that create whiny threads.

I have seen public likes on other forums using VBulletin (usually they are using the rep system as well, but sometimes have the negative option disabled). Does the system also support public dislikes?

It doesn't support *anything* at this point because it's not a built-in option to vBulletin... would be something custom I'd build, so... :)
