You look at the iTrader and the little green squares.

The number of positive iTraders and also repuation bars (little green bars under your post count) are good indicators.

EDIT: ShadowStriker beat me to it :p

I assume you mean "scammer" not "spammer" right?

Anyway, if iTrader and Reputation aren't good enough for you, then go through his posts and see if there is anything suspicious. Find his past sales threads and see if his customers were satisfied. You could even message his previous customers just to be sure :)

These are not good enough indicators, you need to observe how he post how he interact etc. Not just based on the green squares or the Itraders.

Correct! I advice people to search over the search engines about the user. Mıght find other post's on other boards.

You could get 1 year hosting for even free. But there would be a limit in band. So it's useless.

You could get domain in 10$ That would be true.

Well at the hosting he mentioned (webhostingpad) there is unlimited bandwidth...so if he could get that for a year free, then awesome!

Man, lot of things have to be learned in business including being scammed. So, in DP, you'd better see the itrader, the popularity and maybe his posts/threads. And the most important thing is : practice your instinct of business in judging whether someone is an honest guy or not.
It is very often that business is only about instinct and intuition. :)
    Good luck, my friend.

Also look at how long they've been a member at DP, usually a scammer makes an account, scams, and gets the hell out of there forever.

Yeap, for me I place more weightage on the time a member is in DP than his reputation or Itraders. Also his posts, how he interact with other members.

Yes, I'm not a long-lived person on that forum and do not have a huge rating
But in order to have a good rating you need to start from something... besides, some people simply do not leave a feedback after a deal...
I offered you to verify my identity by paying $10 to my verified PayPal account, with the ability to make a chargeback anytime you decide there is a need in the one.
Furthermore, I told you: "I give you a fully functional hosting account first, and you pay me for it when your website is up and running".
How can I scam you in this case?
Besides, you need to decide first what do you really want/need and not pull people's leg during 2 weeks asking them to sell you a good hosting for nothing.

    Nothing personal
    Good luck
