How can I find out who left me a bad reputation for asking a question?

    Cheers

Its probably not the person who most likely repped him for starting this thread for complaining about it.

    (It wasn't me)

the reason I got it was because I didn't know what linkvault is when I done a search on google it didn't really help me, so I asked in a thread what it was and the rep I got was 'Ever heard of a thing called Google'. I thought the forum was for asking questions and replying to questions...

Worrying about red reps is about as productive as wondering why the sky is blue, why politicians have an aversion to the truth, why ... well, you get the picture ;)

I got one just the other day for a very old post - no doubt just an admirer who was exacting their opinion .... c'est la vie :)

I'm starting to wish the reputation wasn't here.

I got 3 red reps for this post:
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=576134&postcount=71

    I don't see the problem.

I think the reputation is important and something to worry about, if I'm selling something or if I am the face of my sites/company then having a red bar beside my name does give a bad reputation to my sites/company.

I haven't been on DP for long but I know now that the reputation really doesn't matter with people giving good and bad reps when they aren't needed, but a lot of newer users don't know this.

Shawn. is there nothing that can be done as I have just received another for this thread...

    Jan 28th 2006 3:24 pm stop whining
Jan 26th 2006 8:15 pm Ever heard of a thing called Google?

If nothing can be done and it doesnt mean much to forum users then possibly it could be renamed, as reputation is abit strong if it doesnt mean much... I know Im new, but being a newbie and seeing reputation it is a big deal... oh and who ever give me the new red rep, I ain't whining... just curious why people use the reputation system so loosly...
