Hi, I think it might not be a bad idea to auto tag on the person's username when he adds a reputation point to someone's elses post. This way, I do not need to go add my username each time I do that and it will help reduce abuse when someone just wants to hurt your reputation by disapproving your post and giving you red and remain anonymous.
With the current system, a member has the option whether he wants or does not want to disclose who he is. I think that's better. And I agree with sundaybrew that this will start rep wars. --Joe
Ah okay. Well, I just think that anyone can easily hurt someone's reputation by just placing negative reps for no good reasons and get away with it. No worries. I guess in the end, there is no good way anyways.
If you do help others, then your reputation will increase. You don't have to worry about the negative reps.
yup. I agree, and afterall, it costs -1 rep point to the user. I dont think anyone would ike to loose a point unless he has lots of points to spare(nah, not me. I dint even crossed 90 mark)
This has been discussed loads of time and answer was in negative all the time and I dont think it will change this time .
Adding it to only green reps may be something which could be done. Not all people give their names when repping though, be it green or red
Yeah it will start Rep Wars because if we leave a Rep for someone then it will auto tag our tag and then it will get reciprocated So the official answer from Shawn should be Not Possible
Well...I just thoguht on it. It CANNOT start rep wars. One user can rep a user one time and then he must spread rep to 20 other people, so probably not a rep war. As its just give and take
