Reputation from General Chat

I would like to confirm whether Reputation obtained in General Chat is discounted .. I just found out about this

 

can it increase it? if i were to green someone in GC, what happens?

 

You give them nothing, unless possibly if you have a lot of rep. Check your rep to see what happens if you have a ton of rep (2,404 points). I think it's green and you got a point or two.

 

i got a green, but i'm not sure how much that green was worth. mine's worth 10 points normally, so see how much your points increase.

EDIT: This is a S&F forum ,so the green was 10.

 

I love getting blank grays in General Chat. Must suck for the person to lose -1 rep when nothing happens to me LOL

 

Same here.. Mine usually start with comments that start with the "C" word.

 

It was originally in the GC board when I did it, and then moved here.

 

Yup! I also get greys in GC. When I'm giving greens, what I usually do is search for the posts of a certain member in other sections and give the greens there. I just place in the comment that those are greens for whatever post of his I liked. It does not take a lot of time to do that.

 

I've had greens from GC and yes, was from a high rep user Usually they're always grey

 

and I guess you must have recvd a point or two < for the green in GC from high rep user >
