Yes, it does, but not as much. In General Chat or Underground, someone with rep like yours, Katy, would be able to give green, but it wouldn't give as many points as it would in a different category. If someone like me tried to give green rep in GC and UG, it would go grey.

 

I don't know the exact formulas. I'm sure it's in this thread somewhere, but who has time to read through 14 pages?? I was thinking you could give green in GC/UG once you had 5 blobs, but maybe you need 10 to do it. I just know I don't have enough to do it.

 

What's the bright green blobs?

 

They're just more exciting... The first 5 are dark green, after that they are bright green...

 

Where can I find rep points in my User CP ?

 

Scroll down the page a bit... They will be underneath your subscribed threads (or infractions if you have any...) If they are not there, maybe nobody has repped you yet?!

 

What about the names of the blobs?

Unknown Quantity At This Point
Distinguished Road
Famous Soon
etc. etc.

 

there are more names than blobs available on the reputation, i have seen a post sometime back with the names of the reps, just can't recall that at the moment!

Nope. Reputation can be given for any reason at any time.

I guess they changed the rules; I've been getting red reps for posts in the general area. And the reppers haven't even had to find another post (in the non-general area) to pin it on.

 

If they have high enough rep power, you can get reds or green from someone in GC...
