Reputation "Cost"

I lost enough to bring me down to 1 bar, but I give out red as I see it needed; I'm not mad, but sad that it dropped me from my 194 points. Oh well, I'll build it back up as time goes on.

 

I think you were reduced to a red in the begining, even i dropped from 197 points, just 3 points away from 3 greenies, i lost around 35 points.

 

so that's where all those mysterious reps were coming from I went lost about 180 rep points... seems a fair amount. I like the idea, going to be alot fewer newbies complaining of unwarranted reds I think. Won't change my way of giving out reds though, but something to think about before doing it.

 

i lost about 30 too. was *this* close to my third green blob.

 

From what I can see, the time would be better spent on improving itrader and promoting its usage. I've read quite a few posts where people claim they've been ripped off or had some trouble with a seller, but they've not left a negative comment. I guess it's because they're worried about the negative comment they'll get in return.

The only "sale" I've done so far was relating to a thread not in B/S/T, although the deal was done through PM. So, I couldn't leave feedback for that person, didn't seem to be a point starting a thread in B/S/T about it, would be kind of spammy. Maybe this has been discussed before, maybe it's a bad idea, but being able to give itrader feedback on other threads that turned into a business deal would be a good improvement, I think.

I think you should get a quota of reds per month/week/per posts you make. This would allow you to give out a few justified reds with out taking any penalty yourself.
