    I don't have a huge amount of rep as some users seem to have :(, (in fact I lost 50% of my rep with the new system).
    But I did like the idea of a respected user having a lot more say than some other user.

    I am curious, what prompted you to change the system? I didn't know that there was something wrong with it.

    All the General Chat rep whores died. :) I think Mella was top 5 in rep and now she is like #50 (sorry Mella! heh).

    It was starting to be abused by people that pretty much stay in the "throw away" forums. Under the new system the "respected" (high-rep) users actually have less power, as there is a cap on how much rep they can give (or take) with a single hit.

    That will prevent someone from going into the red with a single hit from one of those users for example.

    It looks a lot more balanced now. The people that have helped me the most here are all up there now. There was no way that I should have had the most rep in an SEO forum. That's like me having a black belt and kung fu grip on SEOChat.

    I guess it's time for me to whip out the old SEO help so people don't think I'm a rep whore chatterbox.
