Reports Of Another Google Update : September 4th

Yeah, another Google update. Dramatic drops in traffic across several sites. Ugh.

yes you right some thing going underway but google still not confirmed anything many webmasters are complaining massive traffic drops on there websites even it's more big than unconfirmed last 21 Aug update.

 

this might be a big update, let's wait for some day's to see its effects.

GWT have delays in reporting the traffic. I see only traffic at Sept, 02 2013 being published in my dashboard. There is no confirmation yet so I would assume it is 'silent' update which suppose to be 'temporary'.
Almost all of my sites have jump in traffic (two of them even get almost three times). In previous update (august 23), the traffic was reduced in 3-9%. Off course I didn't think the traffic really jump that high. I was thinking there must be something errors with AWStats.
Two of sites which have the traffic increased were 'almost static' WordPress sites which rarely being updated. The sites have few posts (64) but each post have more than 1602 words (non repetitive and always explain previous articles). The sites maybe 'got less attention' in couple previous updates (the sites are developed for 'very high competition') and suddenly got 'enough attention' which result in jump in traffic. It still to early to make conclusion. I will do simple research about it.

 

I was saying two of my sites receive traffic almost three times since September 04. In September 06, the traffic is increased up to eight times.
Here are what was happen:

1. September 04, the site got 60 clicks from Google Search Engine.
2. September 05, The site got 170 clicks from Google search Engine.
3. September 06, the site got 500 clicks from Google Search Engine.
4. Traffic from September 07 and 08 were not available yet in WMT. The stats from Cpanel show very high Bandwidth used by the sites (the sites hosted in managed server using separate cPanel).

I never imagine my old sites would generate very high traffic. Anyone got the same result?

 

ohh wow man your site traffic is going up after update but 80% people traffic down so what do you do i mean your SEO links and everything can you little explain ?

 

For linking, I did not do any link building. There is only eight domains linked to my sites.
I did not change template, hosting and other specific things. Everything remain same.

I have done simple research and here are the results:

1. My sites got huge traffic because the competitors are devalued (ranked down).
   Reference:
   Lots of competitors were moved to second and third pages. My sites were moved to first page (6). it was in third page (23)
2. The traffic increase because Google think the content are quite helpful for visitor.
   Reference:
   Articles receive 90%+ organic traffic. 6%+ in Category/Tag/Archive/Author.Source: Awstats in cPanel.

For SEO, I didn't do anything special other than writing 'complex' and 'tedious' posts similar to article written for dissertation.
I do believe number one above is the best answer for the high traffic increase in my sites. maybe I just lucky at this time.

 

Seems like something interesting is going on, at any rate. My main business site, which was basically sitting around pages 9–10 (extremely competitive market, since it's web design) has suddenly shot up to pages 4–5 with the occasional slide back to 9 in the past 4–5 days. Not really sure what to think of it yet. Am rolling out a revamp this week; interested to see what happens with that....

 

One of sites used to rank in 2 page for two keywords and now it is gone totally.
Let's see what happens within a few days.

Yes it's an update but still lot to come from the update.

 

Many have seen a decrease in traffic because of the september 4th update, but my authority sites are still going strong

 

Yes, I have seen traffic increase o one of my websites.
And I did not do anything else other than writing articles.
Here is a screenshot from WP Stats,

You can see the traffic increase from 5th September. That is over 30% increase.

 

I've seen about a 30% increase too on my forum, I am about to replace some adverts and try to pull in more if possible especailly with our new design were launching later this month
