Suggestion Reporting posts.

I am an avid user of the DP Spy feature and I often see rule breaking posts such as "pm sent" etc... Posts which we know are against the rules and we don't like to see. However, my ability to report these posts is often impaired by the fact that a 60 second wait in between reports is required.

Could this be changed to help those of us who would like to help DP's Moderators in their work?

Thats not going to happen.

So, the best option for you is to include link of all posts you want to report in one report post box.
And they will be taken care of.

 

Why is it not going to happen? Is there some kind of pre-determined response to a suggestion of this type?

I just don't understand why there's a restriction on us helping DP...

 

The questions been answered many times. The lag prevents flooding and limits spam, and staffs been clear that it wont be changed.

Meantime, you can easily report one in a thread and just say in the body of the report that here are several others. From a moderation standpoint thats a helluvalot more helpful than having 10 reports directing mods to the same thread. That not only isnt helpful, form a moderation perspective using 10 reports to point at one thread is like spamming the mods, as it gives them 10 reports to clear instead of one.

Its much the same as when one person does 20 fluff posts in 15 minutes. Reporting on one post and mentioning he's done it 20 times is helpful. They can see all 20 by looking at his post record, and delete them in one shot. Conversely if you take the time to mark all 20 with the report function it doesnt make it any easier for them to find them, but they now have 20 reports, not one. It helps to think of the guy on the receiving end when reporting, and make the report efficient.

 

Well, it'd be very easy to create a new permission in the database. Shouldn't take more than a few minutes to make and test...
