Reporting a site for guestbook spam?

    Hi,

    Is it worth it to report a site to G for essentially spamming comments\guestbook for SEO purposes? Using Yahoo Site Explorer you can see 100s of links gained this way.

    its probably not worth it. I don't think anything would happen. Google has no way of telling if you posted their site in that guestbook trying to get them in trouble.

    are they spamming your guestbook with the same comments over and over or do you just see them comment in other guestbooks ?

    They mix it up so it is different keywords, looks like manual spamming process rather than a script. Its obvious its spam as for example its linking to "bikinis" on a blog about "soccer". The message around is also illogical, not sure G would find it via algo, but a manual check it would certainly fail.
