We have just completed the first month of our Power Pumper affiliate program. Here's the report.

    • 62 affiliates signed up
    • 8 affiliates sent clicks
    • 4 affiliates had 1 or more sales
    • 1 affiliate had lots of sales and earned 10 times more than anyone else

Is this good/bad/average? This is my first time running an affiliate program. I think we should have so many more, but maybe that is just wishful thinking. We really have an amazingly good product with a HUGE market and a good business model, I think. We are manufacturing and marketing a new therapeutic mobility device (the Power Pumper) that really helps kids with autism (1 in 67 kids now) and other special needs. We have the funding sources already that will purchase one for most every kid that needs one! It is an incredibly easy sell. These kids can't ride a real bike. In addition to helping them physically, it makes them feel great about themselves and gives them hope. These kids need this. I want to help them.

I'm kind of stuck figuring out what to do to get this to snowball. It should be snowballing now. I know there are people out there who could put some serious work in on this and then set back with enough money coming in to retire. We have one affiliate at that level already. Are people just burnt out on affiliate marketing? I announced it on DP here last month, and I think I only got 6 signups from here. What am I doing wrong?

The main benefits to our program (as I see it) are as follows:
    • Decent per sale payout for manufactured goods - $35.00
    • Decent second tier payout - $5.00
    • Good conversion rate ~5%, EPC ~$1.50 - good website - free funding is available in every state
    • Huge untapped market - 1 in 67 kids are developing autism now, and that is just a segment of the market - brand new affiliate program
    • Automatic second tier - we automatically enroll those who purchase or apply for funding as affiliates and send them a link for them to promote if they wish. This can help build second tier income.
    • Good karma - the Power Pumper helps children with special needs and is built in Portland, Oregon by adults with special needs in a solar-powered factory.

There is a huge section of children that the Power Pumper will help. Autism, Down Syndrome, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, brain injuries, hemiplegia, brachial plexus injuries, are just a tiny part of the list of kids that we are going to help. I want to know what you think. Is it the website?

    The website is http://www.powerpumper.com

Info about our affiliate program is here:

(note: the board does not want to advertise the second tier payout as they are afraid to look pyramidal, but it is part of the program)

Please give me some feedback. I want to know what's holding us back and what I need to emphasize more. How do I get in contact with people who can really help us?

    Thank you so much,

    Josh Gulick
