Hello there, everyone. We've all seen some sort of scam, scheme, fraud, or rip-off online, right? Maybe it's a person with a false "business opportunity", a fake lottery scam via e-mail, or a foreign person of power with a large sum of money to transfer to you. Perhaps it's a company that just makes false claims about their products or services and they aren't fulfilled. I just started an organization called the "Consumer Defense Network" that aims to help protect consumers across the Internet by investing and detecting, along with the proper prevention of scams. We are currently running numerous active investigations into reports received and we relay information to all of the appropriate parties. In order to have a more publicly visible sector, we decided to start a blog where we post information regarding some of our e-mail and forum related scams. It's pretty interesting stuff. We haven't given out too many investigation details or results at the moment as we are currently working on rebuilding our website into something more user-friendly and functional. The reason I am posting this is not for advertising purposes, we make no profit or advertising revenue - there is no reason for me to advertise this other than to inform the public. However, the main reason of me posting here is to encourage everyone to submit any scams they find directly to us by using our Report Scams page located below: http://www.consumerdefensenetwork.com/report-scams/ Code (markup): Simply scroll to the bottom of that page and you shall find a form - it's very small and simplistic but gathers all of the information we need to launch an investigation. We will keep you updated as much as possible. By reporting any scam, scheme, fraud, rip-off, etc - you'll be helping to protect consumers. In fact, we may even be able to help you get reimbursed for the problems you faced due to the scammer. Thanks for reading...
