I don't know why, but moderators are repeatedly deleting posts and giving infraction. Please be clear enough moderators. Is it now allowed to post anything against a link exchange proposal. I just posted my site's name (no url/backlink was posted) and asked if the thread starter is interested or not. My msg got deleted and I got an Infraction. I don't know why, but posts, which are important in a discussion, are getting deleted.

    Posting
as you have done adds nothing to the thread.

If you expect the answer to be via private message then you should ask the question via private message. Use the thread to ask questions where you expect the answer to be given openly and to give feedback on the link exchange.

How hard is it to just PM the OP? seriously people are crying all over the board saying that the mods aren't being fair but believe it or not this is a BUSY forum and everyone wants a piece of that first page. We've all been there before I know I have so just next time when in doubt PM the OP if you're interested.

My understanding is that you are expected to PM the OP it says so clearly in the link exchange sticky: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1021297

    That is clear.

But, being an amateur here, I was messing up 2 types of request, ' PM me your sites' and 'Show me your sites, I have this this this.. themes'.
I'm not sure if an unwanted PM will send me to the OP's foe-list and thus it'll impact on my membership or not.
Infact, some links posted against a link exchange request, brought me some offer from other posters (not the OP). For which I guessed, my post might be useful. Anyway, I was not doing these posts, just to get a backlink or increase post count. I will keep your advice in mind and stop posting such replies, when the forum is specially 'Link Exchange'.
