    I just got an infraction for replying to the thread saying that I sent a PM, but the OP specifically asked us to! I assume everyone else got the same...

    The forum rules override those of the OP.

    The infraction was a warning reminding you of the rules.

    I assume you guys are warning the OP's that post this as well? Seems its just as wrong to post a request asking someone to break the rules as it is to actually do it.

    The OP in that thread should be banned! They deliberately asking people to flout the forum rules just to get their thread bumped. Very poor form!

    My point is that encouraging others to deliberate break forum rules is worthy of more than one infraction....

    Well, vB doesn't let you give more than one infraction per post. Long gone are the days of 7 day bans. They were good!

    Nah, I have to agree.
    When they first came up with this goofy rule everyone got banned from the OP to the respondent.
    Going back to that might actually work better... Or not. Who knows.
    Those 7 days bans work a lot better IMO.. just sayin.
