OKay, so I've tried to replace the default wordpress header (kubrickheader.jpg) to varying success. To confirm I make the header out to be 760 x 200 total size and the blue bit to be 720x182/183? Anyway, several things can happen when I replace it depending on how I replace it. If I change the header name in the CSS and upload the appropriate image file I get a blue box that loads first behind the header and is wider than my actual wordpress blog. This can also happen when I simply replace the header image and call it kubrickheader.jpg or alternatively my theme can break and my posts are no longer within the confines of the blog. A couple of times it has worked perfectly only to break later. So, can anybody confirm what I'm doing wrong, or more importantly how to do it right?
perhaps you could try out themes that allow you to handle header images more efficiently like myjournal? i.e by uploading and using your own. myjournal theme can also handle several ones, making random rotation to provide an excellent effect.
Thanks, but I have managed to replace headers in other WP themes before. Technically nothing wrong with the kubrick theme, that's why it was chosen as the default But I want to figure out what I'm doing wrong with the header.
