    Hi Guys / Girls,

    Quick question.....

Whilst searching around in googles keyword tool I have often noted that people search for the same name twice.

    For example:

There was 83,100,000 global searches for 'android android' with a low competition rating.

If we put aside other factors such as content, age, sitemapping and all the other SEO elements, would 'androidandroid.com' be higher ranked then just 'android' when someone searches for 'android android' or does Google filter that out?

    Thanks,
    Luke

Having a domain name that matches an exact keyword phrase gives you a head start in building up your authority for the phrase. Keep in mind though that you are going to be fighting against an official brand name and likely wouldn't be able to budge the official site from its high ranking even when someone does an exact phrase search for "android android". You would likely need to target much lower competition longtail keywords that have "android android" in them.

On that note, keep in mind that your 83 mil is broad results. That means it includes every search that has "android android" as part of it. It isn't an exact phrase search that is giving those numbers (exact is 3600 global).

Now, after consider the above, one final comment I would like to make regarding branding. Android is a branded name with a huge company behind it. If at any point they want your androidandroid.com domain name, they can come after it (and have a VERY good chance of having it given to them). If you do give that domain a go, be sure to step very lightly and not do anything that would give them a reason to take it from you (such as displaying ads for competing companies, giving bad reviews of Android, or ranking above their official site in SERP's). It could be very helpful to contact Android (look for contact info for their legal department) and let them know that you own the domain and give an outline of what you plan to do with it. Ask them if they are okay with that and request that they send you any information they can on what they don't want you to do with it (long shot that they will take the time to talk with you about it because they don't need to bother as they know they can just take the domain from you whenever they decide they want it).

Any time you have a branded name as part of a domain, you run the risk of having the company come after it. Blizzard is a company that comes to mind as they have been very aggressive in the past at seizing any domain name that included the name of their company or one of their games.
