    Hi

Its good to get traffic, but its also good to get your visitors returning. I was just wondering which methods you use to get your visitors to return?

I have been using a newsletter with some success (about 500 subscribers) but I was wondering if its worth adding one of those Twitter buttons as well?

Do you think Twitter is good for repeat visitors or is it best to get them on a newsletter, because you can do a lot more in a newsletter than you can with a tweet?

    Any ideas? :)

Using the most draconican settings, Twitter is dependant on them going to the Twitter site and looking at the tweets of those they are following. A Newsletter is sent directly to them with all the information you want to share.

As long as your Newsletter is sent through your SMTP server, and you ensure (by sending it to yourself and opening it in outlook for example) that it is received through generic spam filters, this would be the better way to communicate information.

It's fair to say though, using both would still be the very best option!

well, newsletter is a way of informing your potential visitor to visit you, it serves as an invitation...and it also helps that they will also be readily informed about your new articles if they are an avid fans of twitter.
