I'm running the ASP version of coop, have the server refresh set to every four minutes. My other sites running coop seem to be fine. Anyone else seeing soemthing strange?
I would suspect something wrong with the ASP code you are using. I checked the ad network server, and it's serving random ads as it's supposed to.
Copied the asp file from a site that is working, deleted the ad_network.txt and it repopulates with teh same two ads over and over. I still think it's gotta be something on your end... like a caching mechanism your server goes through or something. I checked the logs, and that would make sense from what I see, because I see very few requests from your server requesting new ads, and using two different URLS (which would give two different ads on a caching setup)... Another weird thing is it's showing a normal end-user user agent on some requests until the most recent ones... access_log.1126483200:64.37.69.2 - - [12/Sep/2005:00:54:58 -0700] "GET /network.php?c=sfreader.com&type=link HTTP/1.0" 200 144 "-" "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows NT 5.0; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)" access_log.1126483200:64.37.69.2 - - [12/Sep/2005:01:45:54 -0700] "GET /network.php?c=www.sfreader.com&type=link HTTP/1.0" 200 142 "-" "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows NT 5.0; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)" access_log.1126483200:64.37.69.2 - - [12/Sep/2005:13:48:58 -0700] "GET /network.php?c=www.sfreader.com&type=link HTTP/1.0" 200 149 "-" "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows NT 5.0; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)" access_log.1126569600:64.37.69.2 - - [13/Sep/2005:01:34:58 -0700] "GET /network.php?c=sfreader.com&type=link HTTP/1.0" 200 151 "-" "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows NT 5.0; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)" access_log.1126569600:64.37.69.2 - - [13/Sep/2005:02:05:53 -0700] "GET /network.php?c=www.sfreader.com&type=link HTTP/1.0" 200 151 "-" "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows NT 5.0; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)" access_log.1126569600:64.37.69.2 - - [13/Sep/2005:14:25:10 -0700] "GET /network.php?c=www.sfreader.com&type=link HTTP/1.0" 200 140 "-" "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows NT 5.0; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)" access_log.1126656000:64.37.69.2 - - [14/Sep/2005:00:41:14 -0700] "GET /network.php?c=www.sfreader.com&type=link HTTP/1.0" 200 140 "-" "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows NT 5.0; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)" access_log.1126656000:64.37.69.2 - - [14/Sep/2005:00:42:14 -0700] "GET /network.php?c=sfreader.com&type=link HTTP/1.0" 200 148 "-" "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows NT 5.0; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)" access_log.1126656000:64.37.69.2 - - [14/Sep/2005:12:41:25 -0700] "GET /network.php?c=www.sfreader.com&type=link HTTP/1.0" 200 135 "-" "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows NT 5.0; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)" access_log.1126656000:64.37.69.2 - - [14/Sep/2005:13:42:13 -0700] "GET /network.php?c=sfreader.com&type=link HTTP/1.0" 200 144 "-" "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows NT 5.0; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)" access_log.1126742400:64.37.69.2 - - [14/Sep/2005:19:42:48 -0700] "GET /network.php?c=www.sfreader.com&type=link HTTP/1.0" 200 130 "-" "-" access_log.1126742400:64.37.69.2 - - [14/Sep/2005:19:43:01 -0700] "GET /network.php?c=www.sfreader.com&type=link HTTP/1.0" 200 145 "-" "-" access_log.1126742400:64.37.69.2 - - [14/Sep/2005:19:43:39 -0700] "GET /network.php?c=www.sfreader.com&type=link HTTP/1.0" 200 158 "-" "-" access_log.1126742400:64.37.69.2 - - [14/Sep/2005:19:44:03 -0700] "GET /network.php?c=www.sfreader.com&type=link HTTP/1.0" 200 125 "-" "-" access_log.1126742400:64.37.69.2 - - [14/Sep/2005:19:44:21 -0700] "GET /network.php?c=www.sfreader.com&type=link HTTP/1.0" 200 125 "-" "-" access_log.1126742400:64.37.69.2 - - [14/Sep/2005:19:45:04 -0700] "GET /network.php?c=www.sfreader.com&type=link HTTP/1.0" 200 136 "-" "-" access_log.1126742400:64.37.69.2 - - [14/Sep/2005:19:45:26 -0700] "GET /network.php?c=www.sfreader.com&type=link HTTP/1.0" 200 124 "-" "-" access_log.1126742400:64.37.69.2 - - [14/Sep/2005:19:46:13 -0700] "GET /network.php?c=www.sfreader.com&type=link HTTP/1.0" 200 121 "-" "-" access_log.1126742400:64.37.69.2 - - [14/Sep/2005:19:47:00 -0700] "GET /network.php?c=www.sfreader.com&type=link HTTP/1.0" 200 143 "-" "-" access_log.1126742400:64.37.69.2 - - [14/Sep/2005:19:48:12 -0700] "GET /network.php?c=www.sfreader.com&type=link HTTP/1.0" 200 180 "-" "-" access_log.1126742400:64.37.69.2 - - [14/Sep/2005:19:48:19 -0700] "GET /network.php?c=www.sfreader.com&type=link HTTP/1.0" 200 146 "-" "-" access_log.1126742400:64.37.69.2 - - [14/Sep/2005:19:48:48 -0700] "GET /network.php?c=www.sfreader.com&type=link HTTP/1.0" 200 143 "-" "-" access_log.1126742400:64.37.69.2 - - [14/Sep/2005:19:51:36 -0700] "GET /network.php?c=www.sfreader.com&type=link HTTP/1.0" 200 153 "-" "-" Code (markup): As you can see from the logs, the bytes sent is different for each request, so it doesn't look like it's serving the same ad from this end.
Must be a server setting..... The ones that are still are on a server I host myself. I was tinkering with the PHP workaround for ASP, that might explain some of the oddities. I had altered the code to make a new ad request every 30 seconds instead of every 5.....
