The site has listing of cottages available to rent in the UK, the somerset domain has live links to a merchant and you will earn $13.50 (its only made one sale since January) per sale, the main domain name does not have any links to a merchant, I cant find the details on the merchant I was using but the site is earning alot more money without links to them, google adsense brings in all the money and generates roughly 21 CENTS per unique visitor.

Detailed traffic info
Most of the traffic 60% comes from MSN search, 30% from google and the rest from other engines, I think the site is in the google sandbox for the terms it is aiming for, once it comes out of this sandbox the traffic should shoot up and so should the earnings at 21cents per unique visitor.

Revenue information

The site is very much in growth, in the middle of May I pointed all the Coop weight this site has at it, the traffic and earnings have gone up since this, the total co-op weight for this site is 4510.

The earnings this month should come to about $530.

Its all custom coded in PHP with mysql backend. Ive used mod rewrite to make all the pages SE friendly.

Its an auction so you can bid any price you want, its listed on 2 other forums.

The BIN price is set at 17 months revenue which might be a little high but this site will make quite a bit once the google rankings pick up.

Well technically the BIN is 17 times what you expect to get this month but what you have never been close to yet.

Yes it seems like you will get it this month but still, not based on proven data. Anyway, anyone involved in real business acquisitions will see the value of this. 17 months worth of profit is a no-brainer investment for those focussed long-term. No need to fight about the prices mentioned. Market mechanisms will determine how far off both of you are.

Anyway, I like your pitch, though not interested.

Sorry I removed the links to the actual merchant because it wasnt converting into sales, as soon as I did this my adsense CTR rocketed and the site now makes 21cents per unique visitor.

All the cottages are taken from the merchants datafeed.

 

Hmm, I'm surprised you've removed the links IMO you aren't going to earn anything if people can't book.

I'm still in the hunt though..

By the way when does the bidding close?

OT (ish).
The holiday rental merchants in the UK are a bit odd, not all products link back to the Merchant. I also have a rental cottage affiliate site, and many of the entries don't accept online bookings but give your the name and number of the actual place - weird, I assume the property just pays the merchant to advertise their property. It's certainly not unusual to look up a property in the UK, then find out you've got to phone for availability and/or booking.

 

How can you call it an affiliate scheme when they can't track click thru's. If your relying on someone mentioning your name when making the booking, well your on to a looser straight away.

An affiliate scheme should be put in place so that you can track your click thru's and check your commission.
