Well I have used scriptlance and freelancer.com so I can only compare them:

I have used scriptlance.com and freelancer.com (GAF) both as a buyer and as a freelancer (providing services).

In my experience, freelancer.com beats scriptlance.com from both perspectives (buyer and freelancer).

I get paid better on freelancer.com and also when I post projects, I get better quality freelancers on freelancer.com than scriptlance.

I have looked at elance.com and odesk.com but they look complicated (I will have to learn many features, rules, read faq's etc there)

I like the overall quality of freelancers there. Also, the Customer Support of Freelancer.com is EXCELLENT! No one beats it! I once had an issue, abd they solved it REAL quick!

Also, IMO, the overall usability, navigation and accessibility is better than most other freelancing sites

    So I love freelancer.com!

I also like getafreelacer (not just freelancer.com). Scriptlance was lesser quality and I didn't like the people who ran it either. Getafreelancer has a lot more users and the people I've worked with were great. Odesk I've tried a bit but I think GAF is better. quick and easy.

Odesk.com is not complicated. If you hire a provider at a hourly rate than you can monitor that Contractor's work progress via oDesk Team Viewer. I advise you to hire somebody within the same time zone as you. If you hire a Contractor on Fixed Price basis you can still demand that they log their time using oDesk Team Viewer before releasing milestone payments or hold the funds completely until they deliver a completed project that meets your complete satisfaction. You are responsible for hiring the Contractor and monitoring the progress of their work. If you discover that the Contractor has been wasting time than you can request that the Contractor refunds the time or raise a dispute thru oDesk Support to have them remove the time which the Contractor has clocked from messing around. oDesk does not provide escrow services like Freelancer.com, Scriptlance.com or Guru.com so be forewarned. It's your responsibility as employer to monitor the Contractor (employee) in with case oDesk or any other outsourcing service site you use for outsourcing projects.
