    Hi all,

I'm in the middle of a project. The coder completed a site for me and it's running fine on his server. He gave me the content w.o the db and he advised he will set it up on my server once the project is accepted..meaning after payment. He has only 2+ feedback.

Does anyone ever accept projects in these situation? is this normal? I wanted it running on my server before accepting.

    Thanks

You can't do that, but for your security, make escrow payment - www.escrow.com

If the website is completed, and is running fine on his server, then I guess you can take the data base files plus source files then you can upload them to your server yourself [do this is you are worried about the security of your server]. If a service providers have high ratings like 50+ ratings, then I guess you can trust them in giving your site FTP etc information.
