Removing URL from Google make domain lose Pagerank?

I was just wondering if anybody knows if I have a URL removed from Googles index and then have it indexed again will it lose it's PR?
The reason I ask is I have a site that got hacked and deleted. My partner had the back up saved on the server so I have nothing. There are over 2500 indexed pages that are all getting errors now and I tried to remove them by requesting the entire subfolder be removed and Google denied it. So I was thinking about having the entire site removed and then submitting it again but I don't want to do this if it's gonna lose the PR2 that it is currently.

    Any input would be appreciated.

I think you will lose the page rank. But i believe that it will depend on how fast oyu will get it back online. Google obviously dont want unreliable sites in their SERPs. Ive experienced both tho(one site i was really slow with and changed content suffered). Dont really think its an easy answer to this question. Try to get it back just like it was before asap. Good luck :>

Quite sure it's truth, this why google remove index for your site.
I have a pr3 directory that have been removed index for 3 years now,
Simply change to a new domain finally.

You probably will lose the PR. That's ok though, because if you got the PR in the first place with natural, organic links, then you should have no problem getting back.

Hmm, still unsure here. If the site wasn't indexed wouldn't the domain still have PR? I have seen dropped domains with PR. Not quite sure if they were indexed still though.
