Removing the Border from Amazon Product Links

    Hi,

I have a website with some Amazon product links, and I can't for the life of me get rid of the 1 pixel black border around the box. It's hideous.

I just want the border to also be the same color as the background of the product link (which matches the color of the webpage background).

    Thanks

Trust me, amazon sucks at converting. unless you are promoting some other country other than the US.

I haven't been impressed with its conversion. But I guess it beats nothing. Do you suggest any alternatives?

I am no Amazon-marketing genius, but those little product ads are really nasty and no, I am afraid you can't get rid of the border, I was just trying the other day.

Maybe a better bet would be to create a text link and then use that link with an Amazon image to link to the actual product. Sure, you won't get price info then, and other details, but it's a bit less ugly. And at least the content is kind of on your site rather than in an i-frame like Amazon gives you.

I think Amazon CAN convert really well - have a read of what Darren Rowse says: http://www.problogger.net/archives/2007/06/29/amazon-affiliate-program/

He's a straight-up kind of guy, and when he says he is earning $2500 per month from Amazon I believe him. I think Amazon works well with narrow, product-based blogs in particular, and with unique reviews - anyway, he has some links to his other articles where you might pick up some tips on how to monetize with Amazon.

From my experience, sites built around a certain product niche do alot better than "just ads"...$2500 isn't too hard to make with amazon.
