Removing old pages from the Google Cache?

Hi,

the google cache currently shows pages from my websites which are outdated. I have now added the noarchive meta tag to my pages and also requested removal of the cached versions of my pages.

Do you know how long it takes Google to remove the cache?

Weeks. A couple of weeks.

 

if you have request a page to remove from google index, it usually take 3-5 bussiness day

 

Be patient Google will eventually cache it correctly.

 

in fact, i had an outdated version of one of my pages in google cache for months before they updated

i never really worried about it

and never asked to be updated or removed

those kind of things eventually hapen

could be tomorrow

could be in couple of months

 

If you use the "URL Removals tool" from the Google Webmasters Tool it can be removed in 5 days. There is an option to remove the cached copy of the webpage.

 

Thats right, if you are using google sitemap, just use URL removal tool, and your bad pages will remove within week time.
