    Hello people,

I have a site that is informative in nature. It is a new website with a relatively huge news archive. I intend to switch to another CMS. However, there are some issues. One of the main problems that is bothering me is to move the archive to the new CMS. I know I can get rid of it as far as ‘content’ is concerned. I mean because this is stale news, I can remove it. However, would this be right from the SEO perspective? Would be it detrimental to my page rank? I don’t want to risk it.

I would say yes, if all of your content has been indexed and you currently have some page rank if all of your content disappeared it would no longer have the status it once had. Move your content to the new cms.
