Someone left a false review at one of my sites and its very detailed and degrading to my website. I never hosted the client and i know where the client is from and he uses a fake name when he contacts me. The client is immature and other hosts who i am friends with refuse to host him. Anyways, his review has tons of lies about the quality of our site, support, and services and i suspect he did this because of our refusal to host him. How can i have the review removed? is it possible? I sent them an email yesterday and they did not reply yet.
yea, but i mean this review is really degrading and i get a lot of customers from this site.... And i only have one other review which is 5 star and this one is 0 stars so it gives my hosting a 2.5
Here my advice, you do not want to have all perfect reviews, no real company does have them. Most people these days pick this up and think something is up when a person only has 5 star reviews with excellent words about their services.
Based on my experience, webhostingstuff will not delete the comment. But don't worried coz even big host such as HG also have few negative review,
one negative will not do any harm if you are quality service provider. Competitors tend to do this to degrade others
True, but I can see the concern when he only has one other review (albeit positive) to offset the negative one. How will people know which one to be believe? Personally, when I'm looking for something as important as a host, I'll do tons of research before making my decision. If I come across a host that only has two reviews, one positive and one negative, I'd probably move on to others just to be safe.
Thank you all for the help, im sure anyone could find this but i took some words out to prevent it from popping up in search results, but here is the review. The story he is telling is true, but he wasn't hosting with my company, this guy left this review for me because he knew i had a sort of partnership with the other host, we help each another, but this host made the mistake and now i have the bad review. and also the server he is talking about was bought less than a month ago... Thanks for everyone who is helping
Maybe this will give you some ideas. http://www.nydailynews.com/gossip/2...model_liskula_cohen_sues_google_over_blo.html She went on to win and was given the persons contact details. She ended up dropping the suit after outing her though.
well, simple is write them and show them real picture.currently there are few real review websites with unbiased true reviews
You know of any? Because most are either infested with people that spread false information or affiliate programs for hosting; ofcourse neither of those are unbiased...
well you can check webhostingtalk.com they are somewhat strict in reviews and you can say less chances of fake reviews there
thats a forum, not just a review site, i am very active on the forum and most reviews are from real users, but the point is its a forum, not a review site... Anyways, back to the point, i sent them an email with full details on the issue and it says they will respond in 3 to 7 days. I have worked so hard on my website and being loyal to customers and this review really hurts. It feels great when you make a customer really happy and satisfied with your service and i've had that feeling lots of times, but when someone does this it hurts 100x more than what it feels like to get a good review. oh well, i hope it turns out good.
