Removing duplicate external javascript codes? Allowed or not?

    My website has been under a lot of load lately because of huge traffic spikes. I am doing everything I can to reduce HTTP requests.

    On my main page, I have 6 ads (3 links and 3 banners). I noticed that with each one, I need to post the following:

    <script type="text/javascript" src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js">
    </script>

    It is very excessive, having to request the exact same file 6 times. I also know that while there is no ad serving difference if I remove 5 of them, I am unsure of whether this is against AdSense TOS?

    You cannot modify the adsense code in any way, do not remove it from any of the ad blocks unless you have written adsense and received express permission.

    None of the options there are related to my query.

    That's why I gave you their email. If they don't respond, don't do it - and I'm 99.99% sure they will say not to do it anyway. The TOS says not to modify the code in ANY way. That's pretty clear.

    That email is an auto-reply email. They have no support manning it.

    I got a reply from them after emailing:
