removing comment tags in adsense code

    I set up a blog in blogger beta and added adsense it didn't come up then i searched the forums and they had posted to remove the comment tags from the code. is this ok or against TOS. someone said he sent a mail to adsense team and they said it was OK of remove the comments tag.
    have you done this ?

    Thanks for your email. 
    
    There are instances where it may be necessary to remove the comment tags for the Google ads or AdSense for search box to appear on your blog. We do permit the editing and removal of the comment tags.
    
    However, please keep in mind publishers are not allowed to alter the
    AdSense ad code for any reason. Once you've generated the ad code in your
    AdSense account pages, you may not alter any portion of the code or
    manually change the layout of the ads. For instance, publishers may not
    alter the ad height variable to mask the Ads by Google moniker.
    
    I also recommend viewing our Activation Demo, located at

    demonstrates three common methods for getting ad code from your account to
    your website using a web editor.
