Removing Black Border from .JPG in Photoshop

I have a jpg that has a black border around it. I'm using Photoshop, and have tried cropping it, but that black border remains. I tried messing around with the canvas with no luck.

Can someone tell me how to remove a border using photoshop?

You added a stroke to a layer so it's going to stroke the border always, that's why cropping doesn't work, if you send me the .psd I will remove the stroke for you.
