Sorry to bother all on the forum, but I have a quick question that I direly need answered.

I have a black and white vector image of a house. I'm wondering if anyone could quickly describe the easiest way to remove all background fill from this image and only have the vector strokes visible.

    Thank you in advance.

in every graphic editor you have an option to select the black or white parts, so you can knockout the background.
Just an question - do you have only jpeg from this image ?

If you're simple pasting it over a different background, you can set the Layer style to Multiply (Adobe Photoshop)

You can use the background eraser tool in Photoshop by right clickong on the eraser tool and selecting it. In the color pallet make sure you have the white as the background color or you can use the magic eraser tool.

If your source is bitmap based ( eg. jpg, bmp, jpeg )

    Use photoshop :
    1. You can use the color range tools, magic wand if you have big resolution file.

    2. But you've to trace it manualy using path, or laso, etc for better result when the source file is low res.

----- if your image source is vector :
just apply the fill color there and set the outline color.

    Regards,

Sorry ... your images just show up when i finished write my reply. You've good resolution there.

Just use color range then for black color only. then copy paste on front. then you can remove/hide the background (original)layer.

    regards,
