hi...i have a recipes blog from where i want to remove the archieves section and give link to each recipe directly.Will it have any negative results?Is there any possibility that my traffic may drop?

Replace the one you removed with the "text" box, and just make a link to your recipe directly. If it came with the theme you will need to edit the sidebar theme. However, I recommend a plugin called 'all in one seo'. Archives are considered duplicate content which will hurt your website, and they should have 'noindex', so it would actually help your website.
