Removing Adsense....Can it hurt your SERPS?

AS is sucking big time on one of my sites lately.ECPM is wayyyyyyyyyy down and I am thinking of replacing them completely.
I read somewhere that if you remove AS it is possible that your site can drop down in Google SERPs (probably an urban myth but need to be sure)
    Any info on this guys?
    Thanks
    MK

    I don't think so.
I have two similar sites, and are ranked #1 and #2 on Google SERPs for a popular keyword.
#1 is a PR5 site (many backlinks) using Adsense
#2 is a PR3 site (few backlinks) with no Ads

Google will tell you it is an urban myth; but hey their business model is to make money by selling ads!
    How could they encourage that?

I do not think adsense has something to do with your search results

there 2 complete different things. So don't worry taking out your adsense will not affect SERP.

Try TribalFusion for forums, if you can get in.

You'll need to generate a ton of pageviews on your forums if you wish to get accepted. I think its around 50,000 daily pageviews.
