Removed code, Adsense still present

Hello friends. I recently bought a blog from another member here on DP. The blog had adSense installed on it. I than changed the publisher ID code to mine, however after several days I seen nothing but "No data available" in Google Adsense reports. I than deleted the adsense code in order make a new one from my account and put it on. The next thing I find out is that after removing all the code, adsense is still present on the blog.

Why wasn't I able to see any reports after simply changing the publisher ID?
Why does the ad still appear on my page after removing the code?

Apparently I could still see the code when I "View Page Source" in Mozilla, but can't see it in Wordpress.... How is that possible?

I downloaded WP-cache plug in and enabled it. Am I doing the right thing? I am still having this problem.

Disable the WP-cache plug-in and visit your site once more. If you still see the code, clean your browser's cache (if you use Firefox, go to Tools - Options - Advanced and under the Network tab, click on "Clear now") then reload the page.

Also, make sure no other plugins like AdSense manager are installed, since they allow for adsense ads to be placed within posts, too.

Did all that. Still the same problem. The code apparently lies in the sidebar.php, however when I go into Wordpress so check sidebar.php the code isn't there, viewing the page source in Mozilla or IE it is there..

Nevermind. The problem is now fixed. The code was lying in the "Text" widget.. Thank you all for your help.
