Removed Ads From Home Page Helped

After watching my amount per click drop 50% for months on end I finally made a change. For some reason the ads on my home page paid worse than any other page. The content and keywords are no different than many other pages, but on my home page the amount per click just went in the gutter. Horrible. Since my home page brought in the 3rd highest number of clicks per month it was a hard decision to make, but I said screw it and put an affiliate banner up instead. Once you get down that low to me people are just stealing traffic from you.

Well, after 4 days my amount per click average on all pages has doubled. I have no idea how removing the ads from my home page could cause the amount per click to double on all other pages. Maybe there is no connection but after six months of hell the last 4 days have been a lot better. The ads will stay off my home page :)

That's an interesting statistic..Thanks for sharing that. I'm going to keep an eye on my front page stats and consider doing what you did if it drops low enough.
