Hi, I recently did a theme upgrade and change a few social plugins.

However, running screaming frog/semrush audit etc, my site has over 600 broken facebook URLS such as www.mydomain.com/mypost/www.facebook.com/myfacebookhomepage

These URLs are being pickup in webmaster tools eventhough they are not in the sitemap (or ever were)
I assume they are due to an oldplugin that is no longer active.

How do I completely remove these URLS so are not seen by crawling bots?

    thanks

Create a 301 redirect in your .htaccess file.

Facebook has a debugger tool that will retrieve all of the latest information about a given web page, debugger scans the page, it will also update its cache with the new data, effectively clearing its old cache. This may can help......
