Remove adsense from some pages and earnings go up???

I have removed adsense from a couple of pages to test YPN on these pages. However, since I have done that my adsense earnings seem to have increased.

Is this normal? Seems really odd to me.

CTR increases so more likely to get high CPC ads, in my experience.

How would CTR increase if I am removing an adsense ad that generated a good number of clicks?

your earnings will go up because the ads that are left will be worth more per click.

Too many page impressions vs. fewer clicks tends to lower your cpm which lowers your earnings. So if you analyze your channels and remove those ads on pages that have fewer clicks (low ctr), your overall page impressions may be lower but your overall cpm (earnings) will increase. :)

My adsense earnings increased following the removal of Adsense ads from "cheap" web pages.

So are you saying the only way to figure out what is best as far as number of ads vs cpm is trial and error?
