    i need some help,
im a mod at my forum, we have a team of 3 admin working there.
the one has gone on a power trip and locked the owner and tech admins out .
the owner has no experience running a website, he just bought it and we made it, the rouge has a significant amount of experience with vb software and has transferred hosting ownership to himself behind our backs ,that was the final straw he has to go , what i need is for someone to help me remove him completely from our system , or would point me in the right direction ,

Do you have access to the database? If you do, you could simply login and remove his admin account through a database manager. If you're locked out as well you could reset the password using the database.

Wow it seems like a bloody coup d'etat :)

If the guy got the hosting, all you can do is telling the real owner to provide the latest payment information, previous account informations etc to the hosting company to prove that you are the real owner and if you are lucky your hosting company will look into it and give it back. Once you get it, you should remove him as admin from database or if this is a new forum, just remove the whole forum and reinstall it.

    ooph!!! That hurts
did you share with him server logins ?
if no, then you can get help from the host else you might need to provide proof to show you are the owner to the host, lock down the site and get help from vb support ticket system if you are an active customer, they would help you free of cost if you are vb4 licensed customer

If you have server access you can remove him from the config.php file and make yourself a Super Admin that cannot be altered.

this is possible only if your usergroup is an admin,a regular user been pushed to confiig file isn't going to make much of an impact

Reread the whole thing agent. It means that the rogue admin took control of the site and now claims it as his own. I would login the cpanel and look for any backups, theres a good chance that he made a backup, downloaded it & deleted it from the sounds of it and if that's the case you need to bring this issue to vbulletin's legal team.

Really? Can I suggest that YOU re-read, especially the bit where the OP says:
Does that not mean that if he brought it, he owns it?

I think you need some patience while reading, its not the rogue who bought it, the real admin has bought it and has given it to this team to develop on
