Today I have received this message from google .What should i do ??
Dear site owner or webmaster of somewifi.com,
While we were indexing your webpages, we detected that
some of your pages were using techniques that are outside
our quality guidelines, which can be found here:
    http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=35769&hl=en.
This appears to be because your site has been modified by a third party.
Typically, the offending party gains access to an insecure directory that has open permissions.
Many times, they will upload files or modify existing ones, which then show up as spam in our index.

The following is some example hidden text we found at http://somewifi.com/:

songs Power Of Quest download songs Thomas Newman buy mp3 Tied and Tickled Trio new mp3 AFI top mp3 Alex Lifeson dowland ALO (Animal Liberation Orchestra) instrumental Dark oscillators mp3 songs Distance music download Euskefeurat music download F.J.Haydn download Fair to Midland

In order to preserve the quality of our search engine,
pages from somewifi.com are scheduled to be removed
temporarily from our search results for at least 30 days.

We would prefer to keep your pages in Google's index. If you wish to be reconsidered, please correct or remove all pages (may not be limited to the examples provided) that are outside our quality guidelines. One potential remedy is to contact your web host technical support for assistance. For more information about security for webmasters, see http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2008/04/my-sites-been-hacked-now-what.html. When such changes have been made, please visit https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/reconsideration?hl=en to learn more and submit your site for reconsideration.

    Sincerely, Google Search Quality Team

Oh, that's awful. I suppose you can search all your code for the hidden text or scrap the whole site and re-do.

    Good luck!

What should you do? You should fix the problem, thats what. Did you hide the text on purpose? If not, that means your site might have been hacked. And if that is the case, its time for a security audit.

Update all of the software on the website and server. Your site is using wordpress 2.7, which is not the latest version.

Contact the hosting provider and tell them that your site might have been compromised. Ask the hosting provider to do a security audit of the server and update all server services. This includes the webserver, database server, php, email server,,, and what ever else is running on the server.

You have a choice - fix the problem or stay banned from google.

Sounds like BS to me... I have never heard of Google sending anyone a message out of the blue to fix problems on their site.

Either they really like you, someone is messing with your head, or this post is linkbait...

Did you check if your site is really banned?
Go to WebMaster Tools and check the status of your site also.

A couple of years ago google sent me an email saying that my forum was in violation of the adsense terms of service. That either I fix the problems, or my adsense account would be disabled. I fixed the problems that same day.

So its not uncommon for google to send emails to people when there is a problem.

they do,it is their email bot.there was an exploit in wordpress a while ago and google can identify that this may have happened to your site without your knowledge,so they sent out emails or messages to people that have their site in Webmaster Tools.
i don't use wordpress or blog,it's just what i heard.

remove the code that someone added and upgrade the script.

as for getting re-indexed,it could take 30 days before you get back in the index, but after you fix things,if you go to "Requesting reconsideration of your site" in Webmaster Tools that might speed it up a bit.

Ehh, how does something like this happen? How did the third party gain access? Does anyone know if this is a host problem or rather wordpress? Kinda disturbing....I wish you luck in straightening things up again!

I suppose you are using the Webmaster Tools because you received the message from Google. I do not know if you hid text on purpose, but you need to remove the hidden text. In the Webmaster Tools, I think you can ask for re-inclusion. Then wait, until Google crawls your site again.

I am pleasantly surprised that Google chose to send an e-mail to the webmaster in case of a problem and not just de-index/ban it!

This is really a welcome change and hope that Big G adheres to such good practices in future as well!

As of OP's query, his site does appear to be compromised and he needs to immediately contact his host for security check.

    Regards,
