I'm renting a dedicated server from Hostgator and would like to backup some of my files to a remote server for security. Do you know of any service or programs that would offer that remote server backup service with the location of the remote server? I've found some companies like http://www.handybackup.net/online-backup.shtml that were offering this but it seems to be for PC backups only... Thanks! Vincent
You can buy a VPS for backup purpose on different host and then run a cron job to take backup from the server.
The above suggestion is very good. There are other services out there though that specialize in server backups. One of them is http://rsyncpalace.com/. I've never used them, but, have heard good things.
