Reminder for expiring links

I am using the paid version of PHPld.

The regular links in my directory are valid for 1 year. How do I remind the link buyers about the link renewal. I dont see any option in PHPld except the one for sending invoices to users with "uncleared status".

Should I need to send an email manually?

phpLD should have developed this already.
I didn't understood why so much headache with the article ratings, comments, etc and not even a basic link renewal mod. Not to mention the huge amount of bugs reported in the latest versions.

In my opinion phpLD 3.2 is the most stable, even if there aren't so many new features in it.

I hope the phpLD team will focus and get better results in the next version of the script...

Untill then, you guys PM an0n.

IMO phpld 3 is more stable, I still the version for my major directories.

I guess that may work for a tiny directory. :) If you have any kind of volume to renewals though - automating it is the only way to manage it.

    Thanks for all your inputs.
I guess I would do it manually as I have only few links (upto 10 links per month).

    BTW, how about this option

Creating a custom php script that pulls out "expiry date" and "email address" from the database - sends an automated email reminder after calculating the 1 year period - thru daily cron job.
