Was getting ready to leave the house and my jaws dropped when I turned on the TV. What a morning it was.

    May all the innocent RIP.

Alex Jones and his kind (We Are Change) are going to be fund raising today to provide medical care and material support to the 9/11 First Responders, which the city of NY and federal government refuse to help. These are firefighters, veterans, volunteers who put their lives in the path of danger to help out at the WTC site during the following days.

Many of them are now dying or have advanced lung diseases. AJ and WAC have been working for the First Responders for 6 years. AJ can be an idiot, but he does a lot of good for a lot of people, including the First Responders and victim's families.

I don't know if McCain or Obama has addressed any issues of the first responders. Maybe that will be addressed by one of them today.

I can't ever forget those images either, and am deeply moved again this morning thinking on them. That a life - born from a mother and father, innocent of any wrongdoing - could be brought to leap rather than burn to death, is something I can never forget.

I also mourn the lives of American service people sent to a wantonly reckless war, cynically linked to the tragedy of 9/11 by the likes of Dick Cheney and his subterranean, grossly arrogant cabal. As I mourn the lives of other innocents - Iraqi men, women, and children - lost as a result of this administration's ineptitude, at best, and outright fraud, at worst.

We can no longer put our head in the sand and pretend. America has a right to defend itself from harm. We should pursue that mission.

I was sleeping that day when my mom called me to watch the news. It was really horrible. I really hope that this tragedy will not happen again.

I was on my way to work, the 82nd floor of the Sears Tower. The scene of hell on my arrival forever changed my world.

maybe ATV is right. We'll close our borders, pull all of our military personnel home, stop all humanitarian aid that is putting this country into serious debt, basically mind our own business. Close the United Nations (who knows what type of foreign animal may be lurking there), stop all trade with overseas companies. ATV......how long do you think it would be before these same proclaimed US critics come crying at our door. Frankly I'm sick and tired of being the world's scape goat. If something is wrong, it must be the American's...even though our own government asked for help/money/supplies/aid.

The people who died in the 911 attacks were not JUST Americans, I'm sure there was a Serb in there somewhere. Where is your outrage over that?

RIP to all the victims. Till now I still can't believe that we human beings are capable of such acts as 911. May such hatred subside and may there be peace on Earth.

Yeah, I will be telling my grandchildren about it I'd imagine. Everyone still remembers where they were, the emotions of people around them, and the unity our country had for a short time. Homebiz, that is one crazy picture. I had seen the picture before, but never saw an upclose person of who it likely was. It even makes it that much more personable and makes me that much more angry to see the eyes of the person who had to make that decision.

The thing that has seared itself into my mind was the documentary, showing the first responders at their work. The background sound, like a heavy, if infrequent rain. Until you realize - and you discover it at the same time as the camera crew and firefighter - that it is human beings, jumping to their death, hitting the pavement.

All kinds of people, all faiths, all races, all histories, and all innocent.

    Agreed!

We lost a lot that day, but as a result, as I look back 7 years later - we've gained even more.
Don't forget to thank those that serve. From public service to the military. They deserve our support, our thanks and most of all our respect.
    God Bless America!
