LMAO can someone say, "your a*s is fired!"? If that was my yacht, I'd have someone's head on a block! lol
Even knowing something bad was about to happen I was still shocked! The guys yelling in the background could obviously see something was going wrong but the guy in the foreground sounded so calm - I wouldn't be
The crane operator blames the guy who rigged it. The guy who rigged it blames mechanical failure. The crane's insurance company pays the yacht owner and sues the folks that made the rigging. In court, the rigging is deemed to be safe and reliable and it is determined that either the crane operator made a mistake or the rigger did. Rinse and repeat.
they might have had it in for a refit or have just sailed it there prior to transport. There is a place that does super yacht refits near me and they can only get the boats in and out on high tide with a full moon because where they are the harbour is more of an estuary. The cost of the refits is millions of US$ too, so they must be good or the owners wouldn't put up with the delay. I bet the pressure is on when the job is nearly finished and the full moon is due.
I guess it's one way to go viral. This video got over a million views over the last 5 years. Still not enough to re-compensate the loss.
