Remarketing traffic NOT from google

    Hey,

    2 quick questions:

    1. Can I set up a remarketing campaign for people who visited my website but not necessarily used google to reach it?
    2. Do I need to set up a campaign for this purpose or can I just use an ad group in an existing campaign.

    Thanks!

    1. Interesting direction. Perhaps you can do it by defining a Goal on Google Analytics, and then define this goal as an AdWords conversion (through "Reporting & Tools" --> "Conversions" --> Import from Google Analytics). Once it's been define as a Conversion you can play with the Audience lists.

    2. AFAIK You can use an ad group in an existing campaign, as long as it's targeted to run on the Display Network. But I think it'd be better to set it on a separate campaign, since it's a special kind of traffic, and requires relatively sophisticated tracking.

I must say that my experience with remarketing was quite bad due to bugs. I hope it'll work well for you. Good luck.
