Relocating in a low cost country

If I told you my employee salary many of you would think I earn a lot. But not so because I leave in a European Country where cost of living is very high. In fact each time some of friends from underdevelopped countries visit me they are astonished that I cannot afford to take a taxi whereas they can take it everyday :D

I mean earning 10 times more is not worth if your cost of living is 20 times more ! Whereas by relocating economically I could work for European Companies and live in a cheap country.

Does it make sense ? Anybody wants to do that also ?

Relocate in Turkey, it's rather cheap, good weather, and only a couple of flight hours away from Central Europe. You can find most of what you can in Europe, at lower costs.

It varies a lot, if you make more than 1k Euros per month, you will be fine for all the basic spendings.

Well if you like to depend on state welfare than a wealthy country would do better for you but the trade off is if you are the middle class you can really feel unappreciated. If our salary goes up along with cost of living than it really does not matter since you don't get to enjoy the pay rise as you need to pay more for everyday items.

Outlying cities in Japan is nice and the cost of living ain't that bad.

You could work for a few years in a country that'd give you a decent salary, then after saving up for a few years, move to a low cost country & live like a king! If you save up well, you could just live on the passive income off the money you've accumulated & invested.

Is that $100/month for all of that?

The Philippines would be great, they have extremely friendly people there and the cost of living is low. English is widely spoken and the night life rocks!

It's not as easy as you think. Prepare that services will be cheaper, but products more expensive. It's just common sense.

I want to move to the Caribbean/ Miami or Vegas:D.

But anyway, I'm actually familiar with this. The costs in UK are a lot higher than other European countries but that's known for a fact.
Whenever I got to Romania, I can easily get a 3 course dinner at a great restaurant for £10, which would cost in UK at least £30.

However, if you think by moving to a 'cheaper' country such as Turkey? You have to consider the standard of life amongst other things and that your salary will also be lower, even though you will be working for a European company.
