This site is a great opportunity. The site displays archived diet/weight loss RSS feeds separated into 4 topic/navigation areas. The site fetches RSS feeds automatically stores the data in a MYSQL database. It runs by itself and grows by itself. I think it has nice Adsense potential if you throw some links at it and tweak the SEO a bit. The RSS archive portion of the site is PHP and MYSQL. The URLS are rewritten in the .htaccess file to be SE friendly.


The site was orginally intended to promote pharmacy programs. I decided to target health supplement and vitamin affiliate programs instead. At one time the site did produce some decent sales. There are three directories of static html pages that were used to promote these merchants.
After a while do to a lack of upkeep the sales dropped. The pages are still there. I was never much for removing pages since I figured even a few sales a year would be worth it to leave the pages up. You can sign up for the affiliate programs yourself and just find/replace my affiliate codes. You can also simply delete the pages or leave them for
Co-op weight. Your choice. I added some code in the .htaccess file to parse these html files as PHP so I could ad the CO-OP to all the pages.


Ideally you should be familiar with poking around PHP, MYSQL, PHPMyAdmin and have some experience with setting up databases. You should also know how to set up cron jobs in CPanel to fetch the RSS feeds automatically.

I will provide the site and the DB in two separate tar.gz files created fom the Cpanel backup utility.
If you prefer I can also send the files in a regular ZIP file.
