Let's look at it another way. Say you collected your car from the garage. The mechanic has not replaced a componant that he knows is faulty and he knows will fail tomorrow. When that componant fails and your car won't start.......who are you going to blame. The mechanic who knew the componant was faulty and didn't change it........or yourself?

That's a ridiculous comparison. You are trying to compare a human with a car part?? Come on man...if you are going to use illustrations or parables then think up something better. You are making yourself look quite silly with this stuff.

BTW. Try using a spell checker as well :D

i don't know whether there is a god or not. but i hope there is cause if not this life will be a big waste!if there is no god and after life what is the whole point of this world? where is the reason in that to all you who are trying to reason the others there is no god?! if there is no reason for being in this world why should there be any reason for existence of god?

    Here's a better analogy:

Let's say the mechanic gave you the car originally, supplied a owners manual, offered you free repairs for life, and was always with you wherever you drove.

God gave you life, gave you His Word, offers salvation as a free gift and has his Holy Spirit indwell you after salvation.

I still cannot believe that people live their lives (A LOT of people) such as kawikaan. It is somehow disturbing to me

I had to come home from school, go to work on a client's site, come home, sleep, go to school to take finals, and now I'm on break to reply to the post. Geez. Gimme time.

Time is only measured by man. There is no time with God. Everything is the present. I don't know how that works, but that's all I know. Thus, the whole "predicting the future will of man" argument becomes rather void, don't you think?

That's a lot of IFs in there... which is a lot of ASSUMPTION. If you are God, then please do tell me how your logic is greater than his omniscience.

Almost all of your statements seem to start with "IF" - when you have some hardbound fact, please come back and take out those IFs when you know what is going on.

I still can't believe that with so many people talking about Angels, Satan, heaven and hell, the population of mental hospitals is not at least 3 times as much as present levels. :D

Determinism has nothing to do with making choices.

That's why these discussions are pointless. Nobody knows what they're talking about. They just heard these big words, don't understand them, and then assume because they don't get it, it must not be true.

These are the same people that don't understand science but worship the words of those who make a living from it.

If I listened to talking sock puppets and took their words as law it would be the same as reading Mien Kampf and then killing Jews - or reading the Bible and killing in the name of it.

Remember, Satan brought you knowledge - he must be infinitely evil - I mean it is obvious God didn't want Adam and Steve to know the truth. How stupid? I mean... clothes have been around... since Neanderthals... but because these two dimwits figured out they were naked they must be SINNERS! SINNERS!!!! SHUNNNNN THE NON BELIEVERS!!!! SHUNNNNNNNNNN!.

While you're all off looking for candy mountain I will be sitting here contemplating the intricacies of life in my own mind with my own thoughts and my own views. As long as nut-jobs who want to die to go find virgins, or be a part of the mother ship on an asteroid don't mess with me - I could care less what they believe. However should they spout their insanity, I feel it is only just and democratic to have an opposing side voiced with equal time.

That's the problem right there with that line of thinking. God has not created us all personally, contrary to what some people think. Yes, he created man and woman, namely, Adam and Eve and that's it as far as the human race goes. They procreated and here we are today.

The Bible does not teach that God controls our thoughts either. Free will means you have the right to choose what you want to do with your life. All God is saying is "choose wisely". If we don't choose wisely we suffer the consequences of our actions. Which, when you think of that, it makes sense and is fair indeed.

The same goes for our children we bring into this world. We don't control every thought they have or have an idea what they will decide in the future with he information we give them. We can only hope they have learnt from us and make wise choices.

God is like a Father to us. He has given us wisdom from the Bible. What we do and how we treat that wisdom is up to each of us as individuals. If you or anyone else don't believe it or don;t follow it. That's fine. That's your choice, and that's fair indeed. Why? Because it is "free will".

How is that for you Phate??
